About the Groves Family and ministry
Dr. Lanny J. Groves, a Gulf War veteran, accepted Christ as his Savior after separating from the Army in 1991. God turned his military experience into a passion to reach those in uniform for Christ. In 1996, he began to prepare for full-time ministry. He met and married his wife Stacey while attending Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX, and in 1999, they moved to South Korea to minister to the U.S. soldiers stationed at Camp Humphreys. After four years in Korea and a short stint in Mexico with Denton Bible Missions, the Lord led Lanny and his family to Louisville to become half of the team planting Jeffersontown Bible Church. They have been residing in the Jefferstown area since December 2005. Once again the Lord has led the Groves family to serve with Cadence International in Hospitality House ministry. They are currently in Partnership Development building their support team to head to the field.
The Groves are currently building their support team so they relocate to Rota, Spain in 2008 and serve at Victory Villa Hospitality House.
The Groves have been blessed with 5 children: Caleb, Katie Jo, Seth, Bethany Ann and Joshua.
Lanny completed his seminary training at Tyndale Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.
